Just a taster!

I'm in the process of moving house - too much to do, too little time!

In the meantime, I just wanted to tease you with my new sprinkle selection, watch this space...

Merry Christmas Cake-Pops

I started with basic cake-balls, holes prepared with a lolly stick

The sticks were secured with melted chocolate and the cake-balls completely dipped in lovely, gloopy melted dark chocolate

After being chilled for an hour or so - both the cakes and me :-)) LOL!
I part dipped the cake-pops in melted white chocolate and added the very nice sugar craft green holly and red berry decorations made and supplied by Lisa at Sugar Sugar Cake Decorations:

...and finally, once the chocolate had set, I dressed my cake-pops in frilly green petit-fours cases, secured with a piece of festive red ribbon

Ready to share with my friends for a festive treat

Even more Hallowe'en...

Another chilling spectre...

Spooky, but cute, ghosts

Cake-pops styled on Jack Skellington from 'A Nightmare Before Christmas'

Jack-o-lantern Pumpkin Heads

Zombies on a bead of entrails...

The final party collection (including a token alien)!

Hallowe'en!

...and finally, I made some Hallowe'en cake-pops

starting with the basics, homemade buttercream icing

blended with cake crumbs, divided and rolled into cake-balls

ZOMBIES!!!

I struggled to create the green covering, but finally settled on marzipan wrapped balls (coloured with green liquid food colouring). I recently bought these little white coated candy balls which make great eyes! The tongue was made from pink coloured marzipan.

Pupils added with a pen (edible food colour)

more zombie features added...

...and stored in the fridge - a rather chilling spectre!

The final six!

I think they may be too heavy to place onto sticks - planning on just presenting them on a plate with the other cake-pops

watch this space for more Hallowe'en cake-pops...

Baby Love!

Have made these ones as a gift, cute baby cake pops!

Need to buy a better pen or something to 'draw' with - recommendations welcome!

Added dummies. All that's missing are the tears...

The Good, The Bad & The Ugly!

Well, I should at least get points for trying...

I started with the cake crumbs

Then added the pre-prepared, home-made buttercream

Then I got to work, creating 'shaped' cake-pop balls...

Maybe I was too ambitious?

Remember, I'm still learning ;-)   -  when I dipped the 'balls' into the hot chocolate, the 'ears' either dropped off or melted - doh!!

Anyway, for a first attempt at making 'novelty-shaped' cake pops - I think these look quite cute in an ugly sort of a way. It just makes me want to keep trying....
